MHA #6, Thursday Evening - PARTY!
Liam and Verity had decided to celebrate the whole 'officially moving in together' with a housewarming of sorts. Never mind that even before the rest of his stuff had made it over there, Liam had basically been living at the apartment in practice if not in name. Look, they wanted to throw a party, they were throwing a party. 'Housewarming' was just a convenient excuse.
The weapons that usually were strewn about the apartment had all been stashed in the bedroom, and there was a good selection of food and drinks (both alcoholic and non) laid out on the kitchen table. They might be in debt to the various restaurants in Fandom for providing the spread, but no one wanted to nosh on Verity's "leftover Chinese food fajita specials." The mice had even been bribed with a selection of the appetizers to stay away from the table of food. (They had not, however, been expressly forbidden from trying to convince anyone to give them food once it had left the table, so... fair warning.)
Coats go in the spare room and please don't touch the Barbie Dream House. Unless invited to by the mice, of course.
[ooc: up early for SP because things like timezones and work get in the way. open to all friends, neighbours, ex-housemates, coworkers, friends-of-friends, etc. basically, if you're an adult you got an invite.]

Re: Arrive & Mingle!
She wasn't about to say no to the possibility of new jobs, after all.
So she was there, not really sure what one did for a housewarming party that wasn't even technically in a house, grateful for food and drink to distract her from her general lack of socialiable skills.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
... Or because Fandom was messing with people and changing physical appearances.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
So Amaya smiled faintly, nodding with her greeting. "Sheriff," she said. "Good to see you. I suppose this is where I likely compliment you on your lovely home?"
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"I think that's how these things traditionally go," Liam said with a nod.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
People didn't really...move much in Daventry, and, when they did, there usually wasn't a big deal about it.

Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Because Stark and Rogers had great timing for their shindigs.

Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Seivarden was happy to see someone here who definitely wasn't on her ignore list, someone who she really enjoyed talking to.
"Good to see you're back to your usual self. Heard you on radio this morning."
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Just how drastic could she have gotten as a bunny rabbit? She didn't know, but, boy, would she find out.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"Do you feel ok?"
Fjord had fed her unsuitable food, after all.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"Right as rain," Amaya assured her with a firm nod, a lift of her chin, and a squaring of her shoulders that might have suggested she was being perhaps a little too firm about the whole thing, but it had nothing to do with her stomach, "and never been better! I'd go so far as to say fit as a fiddle, even; there's nothing quite like being stuck as a rabbit for a week to really make you appreciate being in your own skiii--" skin was a bad choice of word right there but it was too late noooooow, just keep running with it, BLackstone!, "skin again."
She cleared her throat.
Oh, look, snacks!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"Oh, food."
That people picked up with their hands.
"You have a bit more to choose from now."
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
And that look was directed at you, Seivarden, and Fjord and Fenris, even if you were the only one to see it.
Well, maybe not Fenris.
He'd actually given her meat (albeit no sticks), so he got a pass.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
She folded her arms in front of her, regarding Seivarden with a speculative tilt of her head.
"And now you've got me wondering," she mused, "on what your thoughts on feeding a rabbit coffee might be."

hertheir house. But while she didn't know Amaya well, she at least had something to say to her."You! You're the blacksmith, right?" Verity asked, actually smiling. "Do you take commissions? And do repair work?"
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"I'm the blacksmoth," she confirmed with a nod and a proud smile that hadn't diminished one bit since she first picked up a hammer, "and I sure do, on both accounts. What'd you have in mind? I've currently got another project that's taking a mite longer than expected, on account of me being stuck as a rabbit for a week, but as soon as that's cleared up, I'll definitely be itching for the next one."
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Sure, okay, 'obviously'
" - but there are a few that could use a little more care than I can give them with what I have on hand, you know? Actually, most of them should be checked out, just for safety. And I could use a weapons rack to keep some of the other stuff."
You know. Instead of 'against the wall in the hall' or 'tucked under the bathroom sink.'
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"I'd be glad to have a look," she said with a firm nod, "and see what I can do to make sure they're in the best shape they can be. Just bring 'em on around to the shop, I can get a good idea of how long they'll be in for. And a rack's easy enough, especially if you wnt something simple and functional, but I can work out something a bit more fancy if you like, too. I actually helped kit out Diaz's whole closet not too long ago for hers, looks real nice in there, if I do say so myself."
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Which was part of taking good care of her gear, really.
"Do you do guns, too, or just melee?"
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"I've got bows, swords, knives, various types axes, a halberd..." Yeah, this could go on for awhile.
