MHA #6, Thursday Evening - PARTY!
Liam and Verity had decided to celebrate the whole 'officially moving in together' with a housewarming of sorts. Never mind that even before the rest of his stuff had made it over there, Liam had basically been living at the apartment in practice if not in name. Look, they wanted to throw a party, they were throwing a party. 'Housewarming' was just a convenient excuse.
The weapons that usually were strewn about the apartment had all been stashed in the bedroom, and there was a good selection of food and drinks (both alcoholic and non) laid out on the kitchen table. They might be in debt to the various restaurants in Fandom for providing the spread, but no one wanted to nosh on Verity's "leftover Chinese food fajita specials." The mice had even been bribed with a selection of the appetizers to stay away from the table of food. (They had not, however, been expressly forbidden from trying to convince anyone to give them food once it had left the table, so... fair warning.)
Coats go in the spare room and please don't touch the Barbie Dream House. Unless invited to by the mice, of course.
[ooc: up early for SP because things like timezones and work get in the way. open to all friends, neighbours, ex-housemates, coworkers, friends-of-friends, etc. basically, if you're an adult you got an invite.]

Re: Arrive & Mingle!
I'm not above providing my own motivations, and anyway Kar's kind of frustrated that the kids don't, you know, go and talk to her on their own initiative. Kinda works out for everyone that way."Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"The class is stressing her out? She say why? Or is that somethin' I should talk to her about myself?"
It wasn't difficult to see that she was fretting, but he'd kind of figured it was the same low-level 'wtf Jatila' stress that he had when trying to account for kobold murder and the like from week to week.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Please, Beauregard, you cared more than you were letting on.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Just find an excuse to brag there, Beau, why don't you? Because you can't express yourself emotionally in a healthy way?
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Kind of like Jester, really.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Maybe with a slightly more prevalent fixation on dicks, mind.
"It's the cute ones you gotta look out for," Fjord replied, grinning faintly. "But, hell, if you like her, she must be good people."
He had so much faith in you, Beau. So much.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"You say that like I'm some kind of good judge of character," Beau said, snorting. Mmm, deflection. "I'm not, but you're also not wrong about that."
She'd argue that was misplaced faith, Fjord.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"Well, then in this one case, I'll take it on good faith that you're a good judge of guidance counselors," Fjord replied easily. "And call that good."
He would not. You were now a good judge of people, Beau. Sorry 'bout that.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"I mean, I might be a little biased," Beau said, oh so casually. "But my point stands."
Hey, hey, guess who was also going to be struggling with the possibility of becoming a horrible murder monster? Funny, that.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"You come by that bias honestly, at least?"
What did that even mean?
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
"Damn right you will," Fjord agreed. "Maybe before I chat with Keyleth I'll see what this friend of yours suggests. I'm trying to challenge these kids, but it's not supposed to stress them outside of class, too."
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Not that she would personally know. Ahem.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Sure, that'd stick.
Re: Arrive & Mingle!
Hahaha nope. Though even Beau would probably be impressed by Keyleth's capacity to hold a grudge under certain circumstances.
