MHA #6, Monday Morning
After a couple of weird and busy weekends, in that order, it had been nice to have one that was just... normal. As normal as Fandom ever gets, anyway. So, you know. Nice, normal weekend, and hopefully a nice, normal week following it...
The weird thing, though, was that Liam was sleeping in. Really sleeping in, and not his usual "woke up and went for a run and then crawled back into bed to snuggle" or "woke up and read for a few hours", either. Genuine, honest-to-god, asleep sleeping in. Which was definitely the first clue that something was amiss, because that only ever happened on those weekends. You know the ones.
Except this was a Monday. And everyone knew the weird shit didn't happen on Mondays (unless the island was hopping through various alternate realities, of course.). So Liam could possibly be forgiven for not having any idea that anything was strange just yet, sleepily reaching for Verity to pull her in closer.
[ooc: for the girl. you know the one. and soooo much SP because work is a butt.]

It was when her head rested on his chest that her brain began poking her with the concern that Something Was Amiss.

And right now was a little too focused on warm and nice to get to the Something Is Amiss ping, letting out a contented sigh as she nestled against him.
no subject
And encountered a breast, which was a pretty big clue, even for someone half-asleep.
"Liam?" she asked, voice drowsy but still with a sharp note of 'what?'.
no subject
Except. Except, his voice sounded weird. And Verity’s hand on his chest didn’t feel right either. His eyes snapped open. “Um...”
no subject
Oh god. Suddenly her hand was flying over to check her chest.
Totally normal. Thank god.
no subject
"What," he said slowly, "is going on?" Yes, in just over two years in Fandom he'd never experienced this particular weirdness.
no subject
"Don't worry, it'll only last through the weeken--hmm."
Someone was belatedly realizing it was Monday.
no subject
Just in case there was any doubt.
no subject
That sure was some flawed reasoning, Verity.

"You need tea," Verity decided. "You stay right there and I'll make you some."
no subject
Oh. Oh. There it was.
no subject
Look, if he was going to have a reaction, she needed to be here to help him through it.

Wednesday...
Re: Wednesday...
Such a late, but very good night.
Re: Wednesday...
Yesterday, Liam had been awake with no trouble at his usual hour, though his body was still in his not-usual shape. Today... there must have been some lingering Fandom-whatever, because here he was, sleeping in yet again.
Re: Wednesday...
Re: Wednesday...
Except that they were in their apartment and definitely not on the mainland.
So, yeah, now Liam was awake, eyes flying open as he twisted around to get a good look at.. "Uhh, Verity?" and he was shaking her shoulder, gently but insistently.
Re: Wednesday...
Re: Wednesday...
"Oh, trust me, I can feel it too, babe."
Re: Wednesday...
"HUH?!?"

Re: Wednesday...
This wasn't the first time she'd been hit by this particular weirdness, but it was different when you were intimate with someone.
